RCS Chatbot — Rich Messaging for India Rich cards, carousels, beyond plain SMS.

RCS is the SMS upgrade: branded sender, rich cards, carousels, payment buttons, suggested replies. India’s major carriers are rolling RCS out, and Google Messages now defaults to RCS on Android. EnableX RCS chatbots run on top of RCS Business Messaging with the same AI brain that powers our WhatsApp + voice + web bots, with the same context, same handoff, same AI.

Branded sender · Rich cards · Suggested replies · Payment buttons · Same AI brain as WhatsApp / web / voice
Verified branded sender
Rich cards + carousels + buttons
Auto SMS fallback for non-RCS phones
Same AI as WhatsApp / web / voice

What sets it apart

Branded sender, not a random number

RCS messages come from a verified business sender: your brand name, logo, official badge. Customers see your brand in the conversation list, not a generic short code.

Rich cards + carousels

Send images, carousels, suggested replies, action buttons, location pins, payment buttons. Same UX as a native messaging app, with deeper conversion than SMS.

Same AI brain, all channels

EnableX RCS bot uses the same orchestration as WhatsApp + web + voice. Cross-channel context follows the customer. RCS is just one more channel surface.

How it works

From verified branding to rich content, shared AI logic, and automatic SMS fallback.

1

Branding

Brand name, logo, blue checkmark / official badge in the customer’s message list. Far higher engagement than SMS: customers know it’s really you, not a smishing attempt.

2

Rich content

Send images, product carousels, suggested-reply chips, action buttons (Call, Visit, Pay), location pins, and calendar invites, all native to the conversation.

3

Bot logic

Conversational AI with intent classification, entity extraction, multi-turn dialogue, CRM integration. Same orchestration layer that runs your WhatsApp + web + voice bots.

4

Fallback

Not every recipient has RCS-capable Android (and iOS rollout is partial). EnableX auto-falls-back to SMS when the recipient can’t receive RCS. One campaign send; channel handled at delivery.

FAQ: RCS Chatbot

RCS (Rich Communication Services) is the carrier-supported successor to SMS. It brings branded business sender, rich cards, carousels, suggested replies, and payment buttons to native messaging, without requiring an app install. Google Messages on Android defaults to RCS in supported markets; iOS RCS support is rolling out as of 2026.

RCS works in the carrier’s native messaging app, no app install required. WhatsApp Business requires WhatsApp on the customer’s phone. RCS has higher delivery rates in markets where WhatsApp adoption is incomplete; WhatsApp wins where adoption is high (India, Brazil). Most production deployments use both: WhatsApp where the customer is on it, RCS as upgrade-from-SMS for everyone else.

Yes. Indian carriers Jio, Airtel, Vi, and BSNL have launched RCS Business Messaging in phases. Google Messages on Android (~95% of India’s mobile market) defaults to RCS where carrier support exists. RCS is an active growth channel in India for branded notifications, alerts, and transactional messaging.

Yes. EnableX auto-detects each recipient’s RCS capability at send time. If the recipient is on a non-RCS phone, the same campaign delivers as SMS, no manual switching. Unified delivery report covers both formats.

Yes. RCS supports action buttons that deep-link to payment flows: UPI, card, net-banking. EnableX RCS bots send pay-now buttons inside rich cards. Customer pays without leaving the message thread. Used heavily by BFSI for EMI, insurance for renewals, and retail for checkout.

Cloud: 5-7 weeks including RCS brand verification (which takes 2-3 weeks via the carrier), bot build, and CRM integration. Verification is the slow step; running it in parallel with bot build keeps total deployment in the 5-7 week range.
